Connect-IT is included in a residence room charge. With access to Connect-IT, users can enjoy our-high speed wired internet connection in their residence bedroom, and a convenient wireless service throughout their residence building. More information can be found on our Internet Services support page.
We strongly encourage bringing a network cable, also known as an Ethernet cable, with you to residence. A 15ft Ethernet cable is sufficient. You must also bring the administrator password for your computer.
As a new student to Western you will need to activate your Western Identity before you arrive in September and before you will be able to connect to the internet in residence.
To do this go to the WTS Western Identity webpage at https://wts.uwo.ca/identity/identities_and_access/ 
, click on the Activate your Western Identity link, then click on Activate your Western Identity - Student and Student Applicants.
You will require your Western Student Number as well as your Western Access Code which can be obtained here: https://studentservices.uwo.ca/secure/PIN/ChoosePIN.cfm
To access your Western email account, you will need to enroll in Multi Factor Authentication. To do this, please proceed to the WTS Setup MFA at Western webpage at https://mfa.uwo.ca/steps_to_setup_mfa.html. Activation of your Western Identity must be completed before enrollment in Multi Factor Authentication.
An Internet Connection Guide will be given to you when you collect your room key on move-in day.
